6. How will the Job Corps Center benefit the surrounding community?
Many of the 80-90 staff needed to run the facility will be hired from the area, and a Job Corps Center generates significant revenue for a community. Students and staff will do all of their shopping near the center, and the food, furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies will be purchased from local vendors. Students are involved in a variety of community service projects.
